What is GIMO?

The Genius International Mathematical Olympiad (GIMO) is a fun and engaging contest open to kids from grades 1 through 12 who are between the ages of 7 and 19. A place for them to think, write, converse, and have fun!

Who Can Participate (Eligibility):

  1. Age Group 1 (Grades 1 to 3)
  2. Age Group 2 (Grades 4 to 6)
  3. Age Group 3 (Grades 7 to 9)
  4. Age Group 4 (Grades 10 to 12)

Participants will receive (Awards):

  1. Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal
  2. Certificate of Appreciation
  3. Certificate of Participation
  4. Duolingo Vouchers for Top Students

Salient Features of GIMO:

– The GIMO Mathematics Round consists of 15 questions that emphasize grade-level computation, practical math, and higher-order and critical thinking abilities.

– The 15 problems in the GIMO Logic Olympiad are grade-level-appropriate in terms of mathematics, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and higher order thinking.

–  The student who finished in less time will be given a better rank in the event that two students with the same score are tied.

– Exams must be turned in within 60 minutes.

– Students may participate in one or both rounds, depending on his/her interests.
